Max Murphy owns Living Lore Tattoo, a small private studio in historic Ellicott City. His work interprets flora and fauna–particularly birds–through a compositionally simplified lens, using geometry to bend and distort organic forms. Max utilizes repeating patterns and textures to create visual interest in his tattoos, drawing inspiration from graphic design, American traditional tattooing, and folk art from world cultures.
