What is the difference between the Matrix and Kyan Pen?

Deciding between our Matrix and Kyan Pen machines depends on which tattoo machine design and grip shape you prefer.

Our Matrix Pen has a smoother, tapered grip while the Kyan Pen comes with a more textured one. Additionally, the Matrix Pen has a standard RCA connection while our Kyan Pen has a DC plug connection.

Otherwise, these quality machines operate similarly using the same Faulhaber motor and 4mm stroke length. They both work with most standard cartridge needles on the market. Both the Matrix and Kyan Pens are roughly the same size and feature the same threading, so you can use the same aluminum or brass grips (purchased separately) between both machines.
